Tainted Love

Out, damn spot! Out I say!! - Lady Macbeth, Act V Scene I, MACBETH

In one of the most famous scenes from this great tragedy of Shakespeare's, Lady Macbeth is wrecked with guilt for urging her husband to murder Duncan, King of Scotland. In a hallucinatory trance, she tries in vain to wash imaginary bloodstains off her hands, which are metaphorically spotted with the crimson red specks of betrayal.

Can Love survive the stains of Betrayal? Or will Betrayal leave its indelible mark, forever tainting but not destroying? Perhaps, we can learn to live with imperfection.

Perhaps not.
